THE COAT EDIT

I've never really been one for coats, growing up i hated them, but this year, it seems I've gone a bit coat crazy. My first mistake was falling in love with a gorgeous woollen coat from American Apparel. My problems could have all been solved right then and there if I'd just loosened my purse strings and bought the beauty there and then.. but no. Unfortunately on the quest across the internet for a more affordable, yet still stylish coat, I seem to have developed actual feelings for a multitude of coats. Grey or camel, checked or plain, I don't discriminate!

Camel coloured coats are everywhere this year and that's definitely a trend I can buy into. Throw a camel coat on to finish every outfit and suddenly the look becomes a little less dated and a little more timeless. Personally I'm in love with the longline throw on coat from Topshop, but if you're after a cheaper option then I'd recommend having a gander at the misguided website or perhaps clicking link 7.

If you're looking to add a dash of colour to an otherwise dreary winter wardrobe then pastel coloured coats are a great way to do this. If I wasn't on a student budget my wardrobe would be filled to the brim with pastel pinks, purples, blues and greens in an attempt to brighten dismal winters morning. But my first choice of coloured coat would have to be the pastel purple two-tone wool coat from River Island. If you're unsure about the idea of a colourful coat and don't quite want to commit to a hefty price tag, Primark have a few coats in that might tempt you, or failing that misguided is on point with it's pastel outerwear collection.

I should probably leave it there - I could happily dedicate a good paragraph to each of these coats and why i NEED them in my wardrobe. So I shall leave you with 12 of my favourite coats from this season and links to where you can find each of them.

I hope November has gotten off to a good start for you all.
With Love
