Hello there lovers, been a while hasn't it? Sorry about that. These past few months have been complete chaos with coursework deadlines, work each weekend and trying to uphold some sort of social life, however in my absence I've come to realise just how much I enjoy blogging, so now I'm back with a vengeance. You've probably already read a mass of blog posts from different bloggers laying out a list of goals they hope to achieve during 2014, in regards to my blog I only have one goal -  post regularly. I'm possibly the most sporadic and lazy blogger out there and that's a habit I sincerely hope to break this coming year... But before this post goes off on a very melancholy tangent let's get down to the collection shall we?

Before I proceed any further in writing this post, I think it's important to let you know a little secret about me. I may be slightly "addicted" to all things Topshop... You see, It started out a couple of years a go with the mere fondness for the bold prints and more daring pieces the brand would put out. As I got older and secured my first part time job, that admiration for the quality of clothing turned into an appreciation for their shoes, an adoration for their bags and purses and BAM addiction struck. Two years on, it's safe to say my bank balance is not my biggest fan... But really who can blame me? Just look how adorable that lipstick packaging is!

The first lipstick I ever picked up from Topshop was RioRio (third from the right) a bright pillar box red, I remember wearing it for the first time and being completely surprised when people picked up on it and complimented the shade I was wearing. From that moment on I was hooked. Hazard (second from the right) was my second purchase and holds a special place in  my heart. I would go as far as to say that this lipstick is my favourite out of the collection and probably one of my favourite shades of all time.

I find the staying power these lippies posses to be pretty good considering they're only £8 a pop, although I find that the darker colours will last for a longer period of time without a touch up than the lighter shades will - however this is more of a general lipstick rule.. if they exist.  "Really? £8" I hear some of you gasp in horror. Yes, although this is a bit more pricey than your average drug store lipstick, I think they're worth it because of the incredible pigmentation and long wearability. On a slightly less positive note I do find that some shades (macaroon in particular) can be a little drying on the lips but this isn't anything a good lip balm can't solve. Just apply a little balm (and allow time for it to sink in) before you apply the lipstick shade of your choice.

The Dammed is the latest addition to my collection and arguably the least conventional lipstick colour I own. I've never owned a shade of purple quite as light as this before so I'm looking forward to seeing how I can work this into a couple of outfits... Anywho, that's it for my ever growing Topshop lipstick collection for now, but I'm sure there'll be an updated version soon enough.. that or a Topshop makeup collection post.. I really do have a problem..

What about you, ever tried any Topshop makeup? What are your thoughts?
